Maggie's Original Store

The story of Wolf's Premium Gourmet Nuts As a young boy stomping around the old West End of Findlay, Ohio, I was lucky enough to live near Mrs. "Maggie" Phillips' old white two-story house. Her first floor was a small store. It was a child's dream with its old creaky wooden floors, comic books, penny candy, and an aroma of fresh roasted nuts. For a returnable pop bottle I could get a small bag of those warm redskins or delicious cashews.

Today I own the store (Wolf's) and we roast our nuts everyday using the same old-fashioned techniques that Maggie used.

Our customers love the slow roasted taste and we are always looking for ways to add to Wolf's full line of flavorful roasted nuts.

In February 1996 Wolf's Premium Gourmet Nuts began roasting Crunchy Dry Roasted Nuts, a unique recipe for dry roasting nuts, discovered in "Old Mexico" by brothers Don and Hillis Schieber. They brought the recipe home and patented the process. The crisp coating and snappy flavor has made Wolf's Fire Roasted Nuts an international favorite, and a delicious addition to Wolf's selection of fresh roasted nuts. We are proud to carry on the tradition of quality started by Maggie, Don and Hillis.

Crunchy Roasted Crunchy Nuts

You have NEVER tasted a nut like this!

Always working in batches of no more than 25 pounds, we start by coating the nuts by hand with a mixture that, when roasted, adds the “crunchy” to the nuts. From there, we dry-roast them over an open flame (with no added oils!), then add one final coating … the secret recipe that will make your mouth sing! The nuts come out a beautiful golden color that will perk up any buffet or table, and the outer texture is glossy and smooth for mess-free snacking! Great for eating at your desk or in the car!

Wolf's Slow Roasted Process:

Using old-fashioned roasting techniques, we produce the finest, most flavorful fresh roasted nuts that you have ever tasted. Hand cooked at no more than 25 pounds at a time, Wolfies roasts only the highest quality nuts available. Here you will find such unique items as Hot Chipotle Redskins, Honey Roasted Peanuts, and Cinnamon Toasted Almonds to just plain delicious favorites like Jumbo Cashews, Select Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Mixed Nuts, and others.

What do they taste like?

Crunchy Roasted Classic Crunchy Nuts start with a tangy zip. As you chew, you’ll discover a barely-noticeable mixture of sweet and salty in the crunchy outer coating surrounding your classic Spanish peanut in the center. The more you eat, the more you’ll want! This is our most popular variation of our crunchy-coated nuts.

Crunchy Roasted Cheddar & Jalapeno - Using a secret recipe of jalapeno and habanera pepper sauces and delicious cheddar cheese, we gently mix the seasoning right into the crunchy outer coating. This process allows you to experience a zippy, flavorful crunch throughout the entire peanut. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy this delicious southwestern treat!

Spicy Southwest Kakawateez – Starting with Extra Large Virginia Peanuts, this treat is created in the spirit of the rugged outdoors, blending our hottest seasoning with our delicious coating to create a heated taste treat that literally sneaks up on you. Be sure to have plenty of cool refreshments nearby!

Crunchy Roasted Classic Cashews - Nothing so delicious has ever been done to a cashew! Using our patented process for crunchy-coating, we are able to transform the already sweet and delicate Jumbo Cashew into a taste sensation that is so unique, so intriguing; its one snack that you won’t want to share!

Crunchy Roasted Nut mix is a gourmet blend of our favorites: Classic Peanuts, Classic Cashews, Macadamia Nuts and Crunchy Almonds. Custom spice mixing is available. Please contact us via either e-mail or phone with your request and we will gladly provide you with a quote.

Crunchy Roasted Macadamia Nuts are such a scrumptious gourmet treat that we hate to let them go! You won’t believe how we transform the classy macadamia nut. By adding our exclusive crispy coating and roasting them to a golden brown, we have created a tasteful gourmet treat for the discriminating connoisseur.

Crunchy Roasted Classic Almonds - These are simply the best select almonds we could find, crispy coated with our original secret recipe and roasted over our open flames until just right.

Shipping Policies

We ship to the USA and accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express
Standard shipping orders are processed and shipped within two business days - with the normal time being one business day. Priority is given to 3-day and overnight orders and these will always be shipped the next business day, provided the items are in stock.

We require the correct billing address to be entered during the checkout process; this is purely for the billing process as we employ address verification to prevent fraudulent charges. We cannot process an order where the billing address entered does not match the cardholder's address. If you address verification does not match, we will send you an email to advise you that your order has been cancelled.

If an item is out of stock, you will be emailed regarding the backorder and once the item arrives in stock, your order will be shipped.

You will receive a confirmation email of your order after it has been placed. Please be sure to include the correct email address so you can receive your order confirmation. We will not send any other emails not regarding your order and we do not share your email address with anyone else.

The packing list is located inside the box with a list of the products that are in the order.

We ship with FedEx or USPS.
There are three shipping options you may chose from:

Ground will take 3-7 business days.
3 Day shipping will take three business days.
Overnight will take two business days.

Military addresses - Ground Shipping will take 5-9 business days.

** We strongly suggest a physical address (not a P.O. Box number) for orders of higher value so that the package can be signed for upon delivery.

Undeliverable Packages

Please verify that you’re billing and shipping information entered is correct. Incorrect billing and/or shipping information will delay the processing of your order.
An undeliverable package that was returned to us due to incorrect or incomplete address information will be re-shipped only after we collect the correct information and you have been charged for the additional shipping. We cannot refund the shipping charge, as it is simply a fee that we pass along to our customers.

Return Policy

If for any reason you are not satisfied, simply return the unused portion of your order and we will completely refund your money or replace the item.
